Judiciary Working to Meet Public Expectations: Chief Justice Shrestha

Kimathanka (Sankhuwasabha): Chief Justice Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha has emphasized that the judiciary is working to meet the public's expectations from the courts. Speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed building of the Sankhuwasabha District Court on Sunday, CJ Shrestha stressed that the rule of law must be upheld in practice.

He highlighted the importance of timely justice and the judiciary's commitment to its constitutional mandate of being independent and fair. He noted that both legal and institutional mechanisms are in place to ensure access to justice for all.

The new court building, which has 27 rooms, was built at a cost of Rs 46.1 million, according to District Judge Dhrub Raj Tripathi.
